Buon Giorno!

Greetings from Rome! (or the airport anyway) We actually landed about a half hour early, which was fortunate as there was a huge line at passport control. However we were able to breeze right through Customs since Skeez (operating on no sleep in the last 40 hours) flirted with the passport agent! We're now waiting for the rest of the group to arrive. Hopefully they'll find us sleeping on these benches....zzzzzzzzzz

Step One Complete!

In a minor miracle for the aviation industry, all our flights were on time or early and we're all in Atlanta together! There by the grace of caffeine goes Skeeziks. We thought we'd post a "before" photo which can be compared with an "after" photo at a later date.

Another RS Moment

It seems that if I go for a little while without specifically thinking of Remington Steele that something happens to refresh my brain. I'm sitting here at the gate, waiting for my flight to Rome when a page comes over the loudspeaker: "Dan Curtain, please use the white courtesy phone." Immediately I'm taken back to Steele's Gold and a certain dead man with one blue eye and one green eye.

And So It Begins...

Four hours until my airport shuttle arrives and all I can think about is how much sleep Mickey and Auburn are getting while I travel progressively more eastward. Note to self: Ensure next trip is Pacific Time Zone advantageous because I shall have my revenge on my log-sawing travel partners. ::Insert Keyesesque Laughter::

That out of the way, I'm really excited about this trip! I'm still amazed TPTB are allowing us Palermo Sisters (we aren't sisters and we aren't from Palermo) to travel the globe together. Please check here often to make sure we've roamed past Rome and weren't detained in the ancient Capitoline prison.

One Week!

Exactly one week from now we should all be onboard our flights to Atlanta where the three of us will meet up to fly to Rome. I'm on schedule with trying to get things done around the house but still haven't given a whole lot of thought about what to pack.
